AsianCitiesAdapt - Impacts of Climate Change in Target Cities in India and the Philippines and Local Adaptation Strategies

This project has now been concluded.

Asian Cities Adapt aims to reduce the impact of climate change in target cities in India and Philippines and guide local adaptation strategies. ICLEI South Asia is working with 4 cities (Howrah, Madurai, Kochi and Visakhapatnam) in India and 4 cities (Baguio, Dagupan, San Fernando, and Tuguegarao) in the Philippines to carry out a cyclical management process that integrates local adaptation needs into local governments' everyday operations.

The project tries to reduce the risks of climate change faced by these cities by increasing their socio-economic resilience, strengthening knowledge and awareness on climate adaption, and promoting the exchange of information among cities.
