The International Institute for Environment and Development is exploring the processes of social learning as a means of engaging with uncertainty, including uncertainty around climate change. As part of this research, IIED is working with ICLEI South Asia to explore the ACCCRN ‘shared learning dialogue’ approach in one of the ‘expansion’ cities namely Gangtok. Specifically, this will include a desk-based review of documentation on the city context, climate risks, shared learning process, existing stakeholders, and finally an on-site exploration through individual and group interviews of stakeholder group members regarding their experiences of participation in the shared learning dialogues as well as working with Grantok Municipal Corporation to build the resilience of the city.
