Urban95: Capacity-Building Workshop Spotlights Project Reports, Tendering Process
The third capacity building workshop (CBW), under the Urban95 programme Phase-2, was held on the 2nd of May 2023 in Udaipur. The workshop was part of a series of five workshops that aim to impart understanding of the entire project cycle from inception and on-ground implementation to its long- term sustainability and replicability from an infant, toddler, caregiver-friendly neighbourhood perspective. The first two CBWs were held in December 2022 and February 2023, respectively.
Eighty-five government officials and representatives from the private sector, NGOs and academia, as well as college students participated in the third CBW, which focused on project content and the tendering process. Mr. Mukesh Pujari, Superintending Engineer, Udaipur Municipal Corporation and Udaipur Smart City Ltd., chaired the session. The Urban95 team made presentations on the importance of detailed project reports, their objectives, guiding principles and other components, as well as on the tendering and/ or procurement process. In their feedback, the participants acknowledged that the CBW had helped to improve their understanding of the detailed project report and tendering process.
