Urban95 Workshop Calls Attention to Importance of Project Implementation, Evaluation
The fourth capacity-building workshop, under the Bernard van Leer Foundation-funded Urban95 programme phase 2 in Udaipur, put focus on the importance of on-ground implementation and post-implementation impact assessment in a project cycle.
The workshop, held in Udaipur on 14 July 2023, is part of a series of five workshops that aims to help the city integrate Urban95 principles into all its urban built environment projects, keeping in mind the interests of children and their caregivers. The workshops focus on the entire project cycle from inception to on-ground implementation and results, in addition to the long-term sustainability and replicability perspectives.
The fourth workshop was attended by 116 people, representing the Udaipur Municipal Corporation, Udaipur Smart City Ltd, government departments, the private sector, NGOs, and academia, besides college students. Besides the focal area of on-ground implementation, the Urban95 team made presentations on the role of social behaviour changes and communication, the significance of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and the need for post-implementation impact assessment.
