The project aims to enhance the understanding of urban food systems and their impacts on the food choice, dietary patterns and the state of food security and nutrition among the urban residents in Asia.
Project Objectives:
- Test and validate the online survey of city planners (to be carried out in 30 cities in India, 6 cities in Sri Lanka and 3 cities in the Maldives)
- Supervise the phone follow up and face-to-face visits with key informants to collect data using online city planners’ survey in 30 cities in India, 6 cities in Sri Lanka and 3 cities in the Maldives
- Identify key informants from the food chain suppliers in Pune, Colombo and Huhumale
- Conduct household surveys (300) in Pune
- Organise and facilitate stakeholders’ roundtables consultation (one in each city)
