The project aims to build the capacity of local governments, decision-makers, and policymakers for climate-resilient and socially inclusive urban planning and development. Four main activities include:
- Conducting training for local-level actors to enhance technical and communication skills to engage with partners and stakeholders to formulate and implement climate resilience plans.
- To provide inputs, as part of the larger stakeholder group, to the national methodology for integrating climate concerns in urban development plans.
- Connecting local governments with relevant national-level organizations through national-level policy dialogues to encourage vertical collaboration.
- Organise peer-to-peer exchange between cities at the national and international levels to encourage replication of good practices and horizontal collaboration.
