ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability, South Asia; ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability, South East Asia with support from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), Singapore are jointly organizing the National level KASpaces Webinars in 10 selected countries. The webinar focuses on sustainable solutions of urban development including issues on internal migration, climate resilience, affordable housing, sustainable transport with a link to Goal 11 of the SDG and COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar aimed to:
(1) Identify the issues and collaborative framework for the Cities and Subnational Authorities to forge the sustainable urban development.
(2) Promotion of collaboration and cooperation between various stakeholders in addressing challenges around the sustainable urban development.
(3) Build capacities of various stakeholders through networking and technical discussion with subject matter experts and practitioners.
(4) Discuss the best practices and sustainable urban development models effective in achieving the SDG 11 and recovery from COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar included representatives of the national and subnational governments, civil society organisations and private sector working on innovative solutions for urban development across the country to discuss on how they could work together to reinforce synergies in providing safe, inclusive and sustainable cities.
