Project Summary

ICLEI South Asia in collaboration with India Water Partnership (IWP) plans to select 1 degraded natural springshed area and support in conserving and rehabilitating it through the project.

 

Objectives

  • Rehabilitation of one springshed area;
  • protection of the watershed region;
  • promotion of conservation of water and sustainable water management.

The project will also build the capacity of local authorities/governments to insitutionalise the conservation of water bodies. The activities will contribute to the Jal Shakti Abhiyan 2022 of the National Water Mission of Government of India.
