Sustainable Urban Development in Backdrop of Climate Change in Bengaluru- Mainstreaming Biodiversity Conservation into Urban Planning

The project aims at mainstreaming biodiversity conservation in Bangalore through development of City Biodiversity Index. Capacity building of officials of the urban local body will also be carried out.

Objectives

The overall goal of the project is to initiate mainstreaming of biodiversity conservation into climate informed, urban planning.

The same will be achieved through the objectives of:

1. Development of the City Biodiversity Index of Bengaluru.
2. Undertaking capacity building of stakeholders in aspects of addressing climate change through nature- based solutions.
