Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Inventory for States & Urban Local Bodies

Workshops on Greenhouse Gas Inventory for States & Urban Local Bodies organised and delivered jointly by ICLEI SA, WRI India and IUC-India. The objective is to build the capacity of States and Urban Local Bodies to develop their own Greenhouse Gas emissions inventory and manage the impact of climate change. States and ULBs will have the capacity to develop the basis for climate action plans; comply with national and international guidelines; demonstrate city leadership; and increase awareness. This project will result in the preparation and delivery of ten 1.5-2 day standardised interactive workshops for more than 150 participants from cities in all Indian states.

Objectives and Outputs

• Preparation of workshop material (slide deck and exercise documents).
• Communication with states/cities to ensure their participation in the workshops.
• Delivery of 10 virtual workshops on Greenhouse Gas Inventory for States & Urban Local Bodies.
• Preparation of project report summarizing outcomes.
