Zero Carbon Buildings Action Plan for Nagpur

The Zero Carbon Buildings Action Plan for Nagpur (ZCBA) aims to support national and subnational governments in aligning their building decarbonization efforts through coordinated roadmaps and action plans.

To initiate the decarbonization of Nagpur city’s building and construction sector by encouraging key stakeholders to adopt strategies that reduce embodied, operational and end of life energy and emissions of buildings.

The Zero Carbon Building Action Plan has the goal of developing new buildings as Net Zero by 2030 and all buildings to be Net Zero by 2050.

Objectives & Outputs

• Prepare a Zero Carbon Building Action Plan for Nagpur.

Key Outputs:

• Zero Carbon Buildings Roadmap for Nagpur city.
• Technical recommendations for two public buildings for improved building lifecycle performance.
• Model tender clauses for future public buildings considering Building design, building materials, construction techniques, resource and energy efficiency, workers’ and occupant wellbeing, among others.
