Delivering Integrated Waste Solutions at the National and Local level: Holistic Waste Management Strategy for Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India

The objective of the project is to develop a holistic waste management strategy for the city of Varanasi through a consultative process involving all the stakeholders. This objective will be pursued through identification of relevant stakeholders, stakeholder’s consultation, assessing the baseline situation of waste management (municipal solid waste, waste water and air pollution) in the city, and engaging all relevant stakeholders in a dialogue to arrive at a strategy for holistic waste management in Varanasi.
