The EcoLogistics project is supporting pilot cities in 3 countries – Argentina, Columbia & India. It aims to highlight EcoLogistics as a priority area for local and national governments as till now EcoLogistics is barely considered, in spite of its heavy contribution to GHG emissions. The project will also aim at raising awareness, developing policies, action plans and guiding the project cities in reducing emissions in order to meet the ambitions of NDCs.
It will strengthen the institutional capacity through multi stakeholder participation, encouraging vertical integration, developing urban freight emission assessment tool, identifying and initiating pilot demonstration projects which will assist in framing national policy recommendations.
Project Duration: November 2017 – December 2022
Cities involved: Panaji, Kochi, Shimla
