ICLEI South Asia has been working on sustainable mobility through various initiatives, in which bicycling is an important element. Another step in this direction was the support ICLEI South Asia extended to a cycling event organised recently by sporting goods retailer Decathlon (Goa) as part of its Sports Utsav 2022.
The event, involving a 50km cycling marathon from Decathlon in Calangute to Aldona and back in the North Goa District, was held on the 18th of September 2022 to spread awareness about sustainable mobility, fitness and healthy living. ICLEI South Asia appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with Decathlon Goa in the event, which was also supported by the Panjim Cycling Club and private firm Ayya Waste Management.
